This stay was a birthday present for my husband who actually grew up in the cottage from birth until he was 15 and to sleep in the bedroom that he shared with his brothers and to wake up and enjoy the beautiful views, as he did then. His father bought the cottage with a loan from a friend, Kit Calvert (who started up Wensleydale cheese and also put the play area in Hawes for the children). There were two staircases in the house then and no inside toilet or bathroom, so he has been amazed with the transformation of the cottage. It has been done with great taste. The Barn in the view from the double bedroom on the left, he milked cows there. So thank you for being here and giving us the chance to make dreams come true. . Thank you Mr and Mrs B

We have really enjoyed our holiday in Yorkshire.  The cottage is lovely & from the moment we walked in we felt comfortable.  The cottage is lovely & everything we needed.  Warm and cosy and a comfortable bed! Just a pity it wasn’t cold enough to use the fire.  The cottage is very well appointed & beautifully restored with excellent fittings.  Thank you. Mr and Mrs P
